Digital strategy, technology, environment & sustainability

40 Executives from the MDI Gurgaon visited RSM Erasmus University  on 9th of September 2019. It was an honor for us to host MDI for the second time as part of their AMP (Advanced Management Programme).

The Indian Executives visited Erasmus University Rotterdam.  First of all they enjoyed a lecture from Prof. Ting Li. Prof. Li is endowed Professor of Digital Business at RSM Erasmus University Rotterdam. She gave a lecture on “Digital strategy & understanding the strategic use of information and its economic impacts on consumer behaviour and firm strategy”. This inspiring lecture fortunately raised a lot of questions and for sure created a lot of interaction between the Professor and the MDI Executives.

After the morning lecture, we went for a stroll over the Erasmus campus and made a group picture. As the campus is nicely renovated and so large, it took some time before we headed back to the 17th floor, where the participants had lunch.

Then the Executives enjoyed an Italian lunch with a view over Erasmus University and the famous city of Rotterdam. At the Faculty Club they had a variety of warm, italian and vegetarian dishes. Based on last years feedback the lunch was changed slightly. This year we skipped the sour milk called “Karnemelk” and replaced this with some healthy juices!

Later in the afternoon, the Executives were guided through the Port of Rotterdam. They got a chance to see the extended area of the Port, Maasvlakte 2, the Europe Container Terminal (ECT) and APM Terminals. APM is the world’s most technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable container terminal!
