China focusing on Innovation and Entrepreneurship

China focusing on Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Lignan SYSUWelcome Lingnan Entrepreneurs Association, SYSU

We are looking forward to welcoming 24 participants from the Lignan Entrepreneurs Association from Lignan (University) college, Sun Yat-sen University on Thursday 28th of July and Friday 29th of July. They will be visiting RSM Erasmus University and various start-ups on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th of July.

Sun Yat-sen University is a comprehensive university founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1924. The University is one of the top universities in China, and in the Times Higher Education Ranking 2011-2012, it was ranked No.6 among all Chinese universities and No. 1 in South China. In 2010, Lingnan earned both EQUIS and AMBA Accreditations, which reaffirmed Lingnan as one of the few Chinese schools that can claim international reputation and standing. Looking into the future, Lingnan (University) College will promote continuous improvement and excellence of teaching and research to live into its on-going goal of being one of the leading schools of economics and management in both China and the world.

This study tour programme around Innovation and Entrepreneurship will kick off with an Introduction on Doing Business in Europe by Dr. Koen Berden from the World Trade Institute followed by a visit to the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE). The following day participants will be able to enjoy a session on The Future of Innovation: Disruptive and Business Model Innovation by RSM Prof. Jan van den Ende followed by company visits to The Van Nelle Factory; which is the 10th Dutch site to be included on the UNESCO World Heritage List!
